Topic: “Introduction to the JT65 Digital Mode and WSPR”.
“Introduction to JT-65 & WSPR” is a new talk given by Charlie Bures, WA3ITR, on one of the newest digital modes. The talk starts with the history of how its creator, Nobel prize winner Joe Taylor, invented it and why. We then cover the basic elements of what constitutes a QSO and briefly discuss the Maidenhead grid system. The main part of the talk is a step-by-step QSO , presented via slides. The talk will conclude with some of the contacts Charlie has made as well as the PSK reporter website to see where your signals are going.”
