A multi-national group of contest operators put the call sign KK1Z on-the-air as Region 2 multiplier in the annual IARU Radiosport Competition at K1IR. The event also served as the ‘playing field’ for WRTC 2014 – the World Radiosport Team Championships. WRTC, the olympics of amateur radio, is held every four years. This year, the competition was hosted in the Boston area. Many BARS members were involved as volunteers.
